The solid base supports cables along their full length and keeps dust and debris out, while the coating gives a clean, uniform appearance. Good to Know
- Grounding: powder coating is an electrical insulator, so joints between coated surfaces need bonding hardware that cuts through the coating, or a prepared contact area, to keep the run electrically continuous
- Environment: powder coated tray is mainly for indoor use. For outdoor, humid, or industrial routes, ask us about hot-dip galvanized tray
- Heat: a solid base gives less airflow than perforated tray, so check cable ratings and fill if the cables run warm
- Cut edges: field-cut ends expose bare metal and should be touched up following the manufacturer's instructions
