Our ladder tray hold-down clamp is a formed steel strap that fixes a ladder cable tray to its support. The middle of the strap lies over the tray side rail, and the raised end flanges, each with a slotted hole, are bolted to the support arm, bracket, or strut channel below. This holds the tray down so it cannot lift or slide off the support from wind, vibration, or cable pulling [confirm the exact fitting position]. It is available in pre-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy.

Key Features
- Holds the tray down: keeps the ladder tray seated on the support arm or bracket
- Offset (hat) profile: the strap clears the tray rail, and the end flanges sit flat on the support
- Slotted holes at both ends: bolt on with room to adjust the position [confirm slot size]
- Fast to fit: one piece and two bolts, with no welding on site
- Made for the tray: sized to the side-rail height and the support width [confirm range]
- Several finishes: pre-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy [confirm the materials you supply]
- Customizable: length, width, thickness, offset height, and slot size made to your drawings

Where to Use It
- Ladder tray on support arms, wall brackets, and strut channels
- Outdoor and rooftop routes, where wind can lift the tray
- Routes with vibration, such as near machinery
- Long runs where the tray must stay in place on every support
Choosing the Material
| Material | Best for | Points to note |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-galvanized steel | Indoor, dry routes | Cut edges and slots have no zinc, so avoid damp areas |
| Hot-dip galvanized steel | Outdoor, humid, and industrial routes | Thicker zinc coating, longer service life |
| Stainless steel (304 / 316) | Corrosive, coastal, and food or chemical areas | 316 resists chlorides better than 304. Higher cost |
| Aluminum alloy | Aluminum ladder tray, corrosive areas | Lighter but softer. Use stainless bolts to avoid galvanic corrosion |
Good to Know
- Match the clamp to the tray: the offset must clear the side rail, with the strap snug but not crushing it
- Fixed or sliding: tightened fully, the clamp fixes the tray. Where the tray must move with heat, the design may need some supports to guide only. Follow your project specification
- Use washers: slotted holes need washers to hold the bolts in position
- Match the finish: use bolts, nuts, and washers of the same or a compatible material as the clamp and the support, to avoid corrosion at the contact
- Bonding: a coated clamp does not conduct through the coating, so make bonding connections to bare metal, as your specification requires
