Our hot-dip galvanized (HDG) solid bottom cable tray has a continuous, unperforated base and two solid side rails, dipped in molten zinc after fabrication. The zinc covers every surface, including the cut edges, the corners, and the inside of the side rails, so the tray stays protected where it is exposed to weather, moisture, and industrial air. The solid base supports cables along their full length and keeps dust and debris out, which makes it a durable choice for control, instrumentation, and data cables in demanding locations.

HDG or Pre-Galvanized Solid Bottom Tray?
Choose hot-dip galvanized for outdoor, humid, and industrial routes, where the zinc must protect every edge and last for years. For dry, clean indoor routes, pre-galvanized tray is a lower-cost option. For strongly corrosive sites such as coastal or chemical areas, ask us about stainless steel.
Good to Know
- Water: on outdoor or damp routes, water can collect on a solid base, so ask us about drainage holes
- Heat: a solid base gives less airflow than perforated tray, so check cable ratings and fill if the cables run warm
- Fixing cables: cables are fixed with clamps or ties to the tray, since there are no perforations to tie through
- Cut edges: treat field-cut ends with a suitable zinc-rich touch-up product, following the manufacturer's instructions
