Our fire-resistant solid bottom cable tray is a closed, trough-type cable route designed to protect cables from the effects of fire for a stated time. It combines a solid steel trough and cover with a fire-resistant construction, [confirm: for example a fire-retardant coating or fire-resistant layer], so that the cables inside stay protected from flame and heat longer than in ordinary tray. It is used in buildings and facilities where circuits for emergency lighting, alarms, fire pumps, and smoke control must keep working during a fire.
Key Features
- Fire-resistant construction: [confirm the construction, such as a fire-retardant coating, fire-resistant board, or other protective layer] slows the spread of heat to the cables inside
- Closed trough with cover: the solid base, solid sides, and cover enclose the cables and keep out flame, dust, and debris
- Rated and tested: fire resistance time of [confirm, e.g. minutes], tested to [confirm: standard], with test report available on request
- Rigid steel body: formed steel sections hold their shape over the support span
- Complete system: matching bends, tees, reducers, covers, and supports can be supplied in the same construction

What to Confirm Before You Order
- The fire resistance time and the standard your project requires
- Whether the rating applies to the tray alone or to the tray with the cables and supports
- The support spacing and fixings that the rating assumes
- The test report that covers the product you are ordering
- Whether the cables themselves need to be fire-resistant cables
