Good to Know
- A cover is not waterproof by itself: a cover sheds rain but does not seal the tray. For sealed or washdown areas, ask about sealed systems
- Check the heat: a cover reduces airflow, so check the cable ratings and fill if the cables run warm, as the design requires
- Fix it in the wind: on outdoor and rooftop routes, use clips or clamps that hold the cover against wind lift
- Match the material: choose a cover material that suits the tray and the environment, to avoid corrosion at the contact. Keep the finish the same along the route
- Bonding: metal covers should be bonded with the tray to the earthing system, tested according to your project specification
- Allow for movement: on long runs with expansion joints, the cover must allow the same movement as the tray
