Our powder coated fire-resistant cable trunking is a closed, rectangular steel channel with a removable lid, built to protect cables from the effects of fire for a stated time and finished with a durable powder coating. The fire-resistant construction keeps circuits such as emergency lighting, alarms, fire pumps, and smoke control working longer in a fire, while the powder coating gives a neat, colored finish that suits exposed routes in buildings.

Key Features
- Fire-resistant construction: [confirm the construction, such as a fire-retardant coating, fire-resistant board, or other protective layer] slows the spread of heat to the cables inside
- Rated and tested: fire resistance time of [confirm, e.g. minutes], tested to [confirm: standard], with test report available on request
- Fully enclosed: the base, sides, and lid enclose the cables and keep out flame, dust, and accidental contact
- Powder coated finish: a uniform, colored coating that looks neat and helps protect the steel from rust indoors
- Easy cable access: a removable lid lets cables be added or changed without taking the trunking down
- Complete system: matching bends, tees, reducers, end caps, and lids can be supplied in the same construction and finish

Where to Use It
- High-rise buildings, shopping centers, and commercial buildings
- Airports, stations, hospitals, and public buildings
- Tunnels, subways, and underground spaces
- Circuits for emergency lighting, alarms, fire pumps, and smoke control
- Exposed routes where appearance and a matching color matter
Good to Know
- The coating is not the fire rating: fire resistance comes from the fire-resistant construction and its test, not from the powder coating itself. Ask for the rating, the standard, and the test report that cover the full trunking
- Fire-retardant and fire-resistant are different: fire-retardant slows the spread of flame, while fire-resistant keeps the circuit working for a stated time. Confirm which one your project requires
- Grounding: powder coating is an insulator, so joints need bonding hardware that makes contact with the bare metal, tested according to your project specification
- Cut edges: cutting on site exposes bare steel and may affect the fire-resistant layer, so follow the manufacturer's instructions for cutting and touch-up
- Check the fill: a closed channel gives less airflow, so check cable ratings and fill if the cables run warm
- Use matching accessories: bends, tees, and covers should be in the same fire-resistant construction, so the route is protected end to end
