Our hot-dip galvanized cable trunking is a closed, rectangular steel channel with a removable lid, fabricated first and then dipped in molten zinc. The zinc bonds to the steel and covers every surface, including edges, corners, and welds, so the trunking resists rust far longer than pre-galvanized trunking in outdoor, humid, and industrial locations. It encloses the cables completely and gives strong physical protection, with a lid that can be opened whenever cables need to be added or changed.

Key Features
- Zinc on every surface: the coating covers edges, corners, and welds, where rust usually starts
- Thick protective coating: generally thicker than the zinc on pre-galvanized steel, for a longer service life in demanding conditions
- Fully enclosed: the base, sides, and lid enclose the cables and keep out dust and accidental contact
- Strong and rigid: the steel body carries load and spans between supports
- Low maintenance: the zinc layer needs little upkeep over a long service life
- Easy cable access: a removable lid lets cables be added or changed without taking the trunking down
- Complete system: matching bends, tees, reducers, end caps, and lids can be supplied in the same finish

Good to Know
- Zinc is not unlimited: in strongly corrosive places such as coastal or chemical areas, the zinc wears faster, and stainless steel or FRP may be a better choice
- Lid fit: the zinc layer adds thickness, so lids and bodies are made to allow for it. Use the matching lid from the same supplier
- Cut edges: cutting on site exposes bare steel, so treat cut edges with a suitable zinc-rich touch-up product
- Check the fill: a closed channel gives less airflow, so check cable ratings and fill if the cables run warm
- Grounding: joints and the lid should be bonded and tested according to your project specification
- Keep the finish consistent: use hot-dip galvanized bends, covers, and hardware along the whole run, so a weaker part does not fail first
