Our galvanized female thread conduit connector joins a conduit to a part that has an external (male) thread, such as a threaded pipe end, a flexible conduit fitting, or a piece of equipment. One end takes the conduit, secured without threading the pipe, and the other end has an internal (female) thread that screws onto the mating part. It is made from zinc-coated steel to match galvanized conduit, and it gives a firm transition between unthreaded and threaded parts in dry indoor routes.

Key Features
- Transition to threaded parts: the internal thread screws onto an external thread, so unthreaded conduit can connect to threaded parts
- Quick on the conduit side: the conduit is pushed in and secured, with no threading of the pipe
- Zinc-coated steel: the galvanized finish matches the conduit and protects the steel from rust in normal indoor conditions
- Smooth bore: a clean opening at the joint helps protect cables from sharp edges
- Firm connection: the threaded end screws tight, so the joint stays secure
- Matched to the conduit: made to fit the outer diameter of our galvanized conduit
- Part of a full system: works with our conduit, couplings, boxes, and male thread connectors

Material: zinc-coated steel, [confirm process: electro-galvanized or other]. Securing method on the conduit side: [confirm: set-screw (for JDG) or snap-press (for KBG)]. Thread standard: [confirm: metric, NPT, BSP, or other]. Other sizes are available on request.
Where to Use It
- Connecting conduit to threaded pipe ends
- Connecting conduit to flexible conduit fittings and equipment with a male thread
- Joining conduit to a male thread connector or a threaded box entry
- Concealed and exposed routes in offices, shops, and commercial buildings
- Factories, workshops, and equipment rooms with dry conditions
Male or Female Thread Connector?
| Male thread connector | Female thread connector | |
|---|---|---|
| Thread | External thread on one end | Internal thread on one end |
| Connects to | A box wall, knockout, or part with a female thread | A part with an external thread |
| Fixed with | A locknut on the other side of the box wall | Screwing onto the mating thread |
| Typical use | Conduit to junction boxes and enclosures | Conduit to threaded pipe ends and equipment |
Good to Know
- Match the thread: the thread size and standard must match the part it screws onto, so confirm both before ordering. Mixing thread standards can damage the thread or leave a poor joint
- Match the conduit: set-screw ends go with JDG conduit, and snap-press ends go with KBG conduit
- Tighten fully: screw the connector on until firm, without over-tightening, and check continuity according to your project specification
- Dry locations: this fitting is for dry indoor routes. It does not seal against water by itself, so use sealing tape, compound, or gasketed fittings for outdoor or damp routes, as the project requires
- Protect the cables: deburr the conduit end before insertion, and fit a bushing where the project requires it
