Product Introduction

Our galvanized conduit bushing fits on the end of a conduit where it enters a box or enclosure, with a smooth rounded opening that protects cables from the sharp edge of the pipe. When cables are pulled through, or vibrate in service, a bare conduit end can cut into the insulation. The bushing covers that edge and guides the cable safely out. It is made from zinc-coated steel to match galvanized conduit, and it is a small, low-cost part that adds real protection to every conduit run.

Key Features

  • Protects the cable: a smooth, rounded edge replaces the sharp cut end of the conduit
  • Easy to fit: fits on the conduit end quickly, with simple tools
  • Zinc-coated steel: the galvanized finish matches the conduit and protects the steel from rust in normal indoor conditions
  • Guides cables in: a flared opening helps cables enter and leave without snagging
  • Sizes to match the conduit: made to fit our galvanized conduit sizes
  • Part of a full system: works with our conduit, connectors, couplings, and boxes

Where to Use It

  • Conduit ends entering junction boxes, switch boxes, and enclosures
  • Conduit ends entering distribution boards and panels
  • Open conduit ends where cables leave the pipe
  • Offices, shops, and commercial buildings
  • Factories, workshops, and equipment rooms with dry conditions

Good to Know

  • Match the size and fit: choose the bushing that suits the conduit size and the way it fits on, whether threaded or pushed on
  • Deburr first: a bushing helps, but the conduit end should still be cut square and deburred before fitting
  • Use where cables enter or leave: fit one at each exposed conduit end, so cables never rest on a sharp edge
  • Not a seal: a bushing protects cables but does not seal against water or dust, so use sealed fittings where the route needs it
  • Follow the specification: where bushings are required comes from your project specification and the applicable electrical code
